Safe deal

Five simple steps to protect you when buying a car.

Before you buy

01

Check the VIN before meeting

Order a VIN report ahead of time — accidents, odometer rollback, liens and seizures all show up.

02

Inspect in daylight

Paintwork, touch-ups, chips and rust are only visible in daylight. Skip night-time viewings.

03

Never pay before you see it

No deposits or prepayments before an in-person inspection — this is the #1 scam pattern.

04

Verify the documents

Compare the VIN on the title and the body. Confirm the seller is the actual registered owner.

05

Order an independent inspection

An independent inspection at a workshop reveals hidden issues you won't spot in a quick look.

1. Cross.ge's role

Cross.ge is a classifieds board. We're not a party to your transaction, we don't verify the seller's identity, and we don't handle payments. The platform provides the technical means for the buyer and seller to talk to each other. Every listing is reviewed — automatically and manually — for compliance with our Listing Rules. Cross.ge does not verify the seller's identity, assess the vehicle's technical condition, or guarantee the accuracy of the information provided. Responsibility for the transaction and its outcome rests with the buyer and seller.

5. Hit by fraud?

• Email us at support@cross.ge with the details — we'll take the listing down and ban the account. • Report to the Georgian police: 112 or the nearest station. We work transparently: we'll tell you the outcome and what action we took.
